A.R. RAHMAN JAI HO CONCERT – The Journey Home World Tour

SYNOPSIS
A.R. Rahman, best known for his work on the score for the Academy Award-winning film “Slumdog Millionaire,” is back in Singapore as part of the Jai Ho Concert: The Journey Home World Tour which will play in 16 major cities worldwide.

For the trek, Rahman is collaborating with creative director Amy Tinkham, who has worked to create concerts for Britney Spears, the Backstreet Boys and Mariah Carey. The concert is a theatrical experiencing featuring music, but dance and acrobatics.

The show will include songs from Slumdog Millionaire as well as the Indian films Lagaan, Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, Dil Se, Rang De Basanti and Roja’.

MICHAEL BUBLE ”Crazy Love Tour” Live In Singapore

SYNOPSIS
The Grammy award-winning Canadian singer will perform in Singapore on 9 Mar 2011 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

Michael Bublé debuted in 2003 and achieved worldwide commercial success in 2005 with the album “It’s Time”. These albums featured standards from various eras such as “Sway”, “Come Fly With Me” and “Save The Last Dance For Me”. “Call Me Irresponsible” in 2007 was an even bigger success, reaching number one worldwide. It also spawned one of his biggest hits ever, “Everything” which carried a more adult-contemporary sound than his usual big band style.

The fourth album, “Crazy Love” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart last year. Aside from discovering a fresh way to deliver the live authentic feeling musical goods he is known for, his choice of material shows an artist still hungry to innovate and make his mark both as a stylist, but also as a songwriter. Bublé co-wrote the album’s two singles, “Haven’t Met You Yet” and “Hold On” with former collaborators Alan Chang and Amy Foster. LAMC Productions is thrilled to announce that Emmy-nominated actor and Saturday Night Live veteran Rob Schneider is coming to Singapore! Well known for his trademark blend of character and comedic acting, Rob Schneider brings his hilarious new standup comedy show to Singapore for the very first time on February 18, 2011, 8pm at the Rock Auditorium.

After a nearly twenty year break, Schneider recently made a return to standup. He is receiving rave reviews for his international comedy tour which was just extended through spring 2011. He recently released his first comedy album Registered Offender to coincide with the tour.

Schneider began writing jokes as a teenager, appearing at local venues. After opening for comedians such as Jay Leno and Jerry Seinfeld, he made his major network television debut in 1987 on “The David Letterman Show.” In 1990 Lorne Michaels saw Schneider’s appearance on HBO’s “13th Annual Young Comedians Special” and hired him to be a regular on “Saturday Night Live.” During his four seasons at “SNL,” Schneider was nominated for three Emmys and a Peabody Award.

Schneider is well known for his longtime relationship with Adam Sandler and Sandler’s production company, Happy Madison. Schneider has starred in several Happy Madison projects, including Bedtime Stories, You Don’t Mess With The Zohan, The Benchwarmers, 50 First Dates, The Longest Yard, Eight Crazy Nights, Little Nicky and Mr. Deeds. Also for Happy Madison, Schneider co-wrote and starred in Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo, Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo, The Hot Chick and The Animal. His other film credits include Big Stan, Shark Bait, The Waterboy and Big Daddy.

Schneider recently appeared in Happy Madison’s Grown Ups, a comedy about five old friends reuniting 30 years after their high school graduation.

Soon to be released, Schneider stars in Rob Hedden’s romantic comedy “You May Not Kiss the Bride.” He will also appear in Claire Kilner’s college comedy “American Virgin.”

Schneider is an active supporter of several charities. He founded “The Rob Schneider Music Foundation,” which helps provide music education for middle school and high school students.

LAMC Productions is proud to welcome rock legends IRON MAIDEN on their first ever visit to Singapore. The concert will take place at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on 15 February, 2011 as part of The Final Frontier World Tour. IRON MAIDEN will be arriving in their specially customized Boeing 757 airliner Ed Force One which will be transporting band, crew and their entire 10 ton stage production 50,000 miles right around the globe and piloted by lead singer Bruce Dickinson, a qualified Airline Captain.

Commencing in Moscow on Feb 11, playing 29 shows and visiting 26 cities in thirteen countries across 5 continents, Ed Force One will land for it’s last show in Tampa, Florida exactly 66 days later.

The tour is in support of a new Maiden studio album, ‘The Final Frontier’ released in August on EMI Records (UME in the US) which has proved to be their most successful chart-wise in the band’s illustrious career to date, being the No.1 selling album in 28 countries. Here in Singapore it reached No.5, the band’s highest debut in this country.
